The fishing is improving every day, the weather has been dry and sunny the last couple of days. We have been south of the narrows on starter island the last couple of days. The eyes have been very cooperative. We have been starting the day in 28 to 30 feet and as the water warms and the wind starts to pick up on the points, the fish have been moving up, as shallow as 12 feet. In the deeper water we have been using the jig and minnow or jig and leach combinations. When the fish get up on the points in the shallower water we a using jigs and minnows or casting shad raps.
The bass a getting more and more active along the shore lines. All the regular shore lines that we fish have been producing quality bass in the 16 to 19 inch range. The bass have been taking almost any offer, spinner baits, stick baits, grubs and tubes.
There have been some northerns take along with the bass and walleyes, but nobody has been specificly targeting them.

Thank you, unfortunately we are not coming to Witch Baay this year but we are looking into it for next year. Sounds like you have some great fishing at your lodge. Maybe we'll stop in for a drink and check it out one day.

Thanks again,
Ryan
