Lake Mendota small mouth bass activity has continued to pick up on the bars, including Dunn's, Second Point and Burley. Blue gill action has been spotty, but recent reports say the fish are active in 9'-12' of water. White bass have been spawning and are active off of Maple Bluff, Governor's Island, in front of Tenney Park and several other areas around the lake. Try in the 6'-12' of water range.

Lake Monona blue gill spawning activity has been hit-or-miss because of recent weather changes. Look for spawning activities to occur in areas west of Olbrich Park all the way down toward B.B. Clark Beach. Also check for activity from Slueter Beach to Wyldehaven and of course watch for bluegills to be spawning in Turville Bay. Large mouth bass have been active early and late in the day under the piers in many of these same areas. Musky reports have been few and far between.

Lake Waubesa crappies should be active outside or near the outside edge of the weeds in 8'-12' of water. Bluegills, weather permitting, will continue spawning on the lake.
