Fishing friends,
Fishing in the western basin of Lake Erie has been doing very well. There is an abundant number of 3 lb average Walleye in the deeper waters between west sister island to the north and north bass island to the east in 28 to 31 ft. of water. Also the Cans of A, B, C, have been good. We have been drift fishing using gold blade bottom bouncers and casting weapons tipped with worms. Were also trolling on calm days using # 30 jet divers at 65 & 75 ft with michigan stingers and F 7 rapalla's. The popular spoons are nascar, yellow jacket, chicken wing, pooh bear. We have had our share of NE winds and cooler temperatures but most trip have been fishable. We are also seeing a lot of 13 to 14 in. Walleye that are to small for the cooler with the minimum 15 inch limit Capt. Ron
