48" statewide minimum for MN muskies

I saw an article in last Sunday's Star Tribune May 24th that listed all the hunting and fishing law changes. According to that article the Game and Fish Bill included a statewide 48" minimum size restriction for muskies. An exception exists for hybrids in some metro lakes. This is great news for muskies statewide.

Excellent. It would be great if some of MN's trophy lakes (Mille Lacs, Vermilion, etc.) could get a 54" minimum like the proposal for Green Bay. I'm not sure whether or not it passed for Green Bay, but it would help protect the whoppers in our big fish waters.
