Smallies: Barbless hooks/artificial bait NOT required

I thought someone should mention this in case anybody hadn't heard about the change. The 2009-2010 regulations pamphlet indicates that barbless hooks and artificial lures are still required when fishing for smallmouth during the northern zone catch and release season which runs until June 20. However, that requirement was repealed after the regulations were printed.

Thanks for the info, Blue. Will be heading up there next month to try our luck at catching (and releasing) of those fine smallies.

I to am headed up there next month to land a few of those fine smallies. and perhaps a musky or 2. Can't wait to get up there and do some fishing on the world class tff.
