Spring weather is here! 70 to 75 the last couple days and now after a thunderstorm the north winds blow cold again. We've had very dry conditions here, fire dangers ranging from very high to red flag warnings. Lake levels are low on some of the natural lakes around the area too. Today I was out with the kids on a large Spooner area lake and thought the lake was about a foot or so low compared to last spring. Snow fall was decent this year but it will take a wet spring and summer to get us out of this drought we've been in. Water temps were 49 to 51 today. Weed growth was very limited, lots of dead weeds. Opening day is coming soon, walleyes should all be post spawn by then.
