Fishing Report March 6-10

Holy cow what beatiful weather we have had the last 5 days. It has been a long winter here!!!!!!!!

Started fishig Friday the 6th water was a little stained but actually is perfect. Beaver Creek was a little cooler Friday than anywhere else on the lake. Beaver ran from 39-41 and father you came down from there the water warmed up some. Just about everywhere I had 42 on the points to 46 in the back of the coves. Everyday after Friday things were warmer and warmer. Late in the evenings the surface temp was 50 in some spots and when you start in mornings you still had a solid 45-46.

Friday thru Monday clients caught everyday nothing big mid to low 30's fish. Every fish we got came out shallow water and also came in the first half hour of fishing. Everyday we saw more and more shad schooling up coming in. The baits right now we are using are of course Rattle Baits, and Sledges, and the Squirrley Burt scored on Sunday. Once this cold front here passes along the fishing is going to get better everyday. This time of year you have to fish alot of ground because the fish are really scattered out right now. Start on the points and come down them into the shallow back of the coves and the main lake flats that are in the sunshine more through the day produce really well too. The best thing to do this time of year is pick 4 or 5 spots and keep coming back to them.

Fish will eat the Rattle Baits even if the water temp is a little bit below 45 so make sure someone in the boat is throwing one all the time until 56.

We will be opening up on Saturday March 14th. Stop in and say hi things are coming everyday. Hope this helps everyone out who is fishing this weekend.
