With the nice weather over the weekend, we decided to head up to one of our favorite Oneida County Walleye lakes. Usually known for it's late day and night bite, the lake threw a curveball at us right from the get go. We started catching fish almost immediately on tip downs and jigging. The fish were a little fickle and you really had to pay attention. We did have some action on tip ups right around dark, but our best action came on the tip downs and small buckshot rattle trap jigs. We released a lot of fish including two 21" walleyes and were able to take enough fish home for a great fish fry on Sunday. Take a kid fishing

See you on the water
