Was just wondering what kind of setup everyone uses out on the bay to catch white fish? Do they bite during the day or is it a morning and evening thing? Thanks.

I've caught 3 and havent fished for them... one was on a jig rap and the other two came off a lindy type set-up on a dead stick down the spare hole.. bobber with slack between rod and bobber so it can take a little line. Time of day.. one morning and two right around noon. Dead minnows on the bottom sure do help. we take our dead ones.. chum em up and then send em down.

I've caught them on a small jig and waxie and on a tip up with a perch minnow.

Down here in the lower bay they are all over the east shore. They almost get annoying when fishing for perch, which have been few and far between down here too.

what rod set up do some of you use. is a bobber the best or i tried a egg sinker with a hole in it and laid it on the bottom with a dead minnow and leave the bail open. whats best......
