Just wanted to Thank everyone for making 2008 a great season for Boreal Bay Lodge.

Despite the tough economy we finished our season with solid improvements over 2007. This wouldn't be the case without great guests who are always excited about planning their next trip! It's the things the guests are telling others about us, our fishing and our hunting that make us a grow. We appreciate all the help from our guests.

2008 had many highlights - four 50" + Muskies, four 40" + Northern Pike and four 15+ lbs Lake Trout were some of the best. Walleye, Crappie, Bass and Perch fishing were also good much of the year. Watching the kids (ages 2 - 70 something) fishing from the docks was another great thrill for the season.

Our Deer hunters struggled a bit early on, but three Bucks over 220 lbs is very exciting.

Beyond the fishing and hunting 2008 was even more fun. Rock wall climbing, water skiing, rock/cliff diving and movie filming made for some exciting weeks.
Blueberry picking, bear sight seeing trips, campfires, pedal boating and swimming at the beach made for some relaxing summer time fun. Visiting with guests and watching guests helping other groups, made things feel right at the end of the day.

Some very exciting life events happened in 2008, many guests became Grandparents again, a few weddings and engagements. The biggest event was the very special Boreal Bay sunset engagement out on a Kakagi island which many of the guests played a role. The lead the couple to the destination and helped to decorate the couples cabin while they were out at the island.

As owners it is hard for us to imagine a more amazing place to spend our summers. We Thank all of those who made trips from just a few days to as many as 10 weeks! You made 2008 great!

Over the coming weeks we will be working on our postcard mailing and newsletter mailing, but we can hardly wait for the 2009 season to start.

Wishing for improved economy and happy healthy holidays to all!

Thank-you
