September has arrived and there's a cool breeze above.

Surface water temperatures have fallen below 70 degrees in the just past few days. In those last few days our guests landed two Muskies (36 inch and 42 inch) plus a few Pike over 30 inches. One guest released a 25 1/2 inch Walleye from our docks yesterday. Other guests were photographed two days ago with a stringer of 12 Walleyes. Several groups brought in 10 to 12 nice Crappies. Almost any angler can catch 10 to 100 Perch in a day.

The water level continues to go back down to normal levels. With all the rain we had in June, the water level climbed up on our dock walkway that runs along side the water. But it has gone back down. The higher waters over the past 3+ months created some fun for kids and adults who caught Walleye, Crappies, Perch, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rock Bass and Bluegills while fishing from an Oak Haven dock.

Most of our Cabins are booked during the month of September as Walleye and Muskie Anglers come here while the water temperature is dropping. But we still have a few openings so maybe you should call. Being in a boat while the autumn leaves fall on the water around you is a wonderful thing.
