Just wanted to know how the opener is shaping up fir the northwoods. have the walleyes gone in to the post spawning feeding yet? Can we expect good fishing conditions?

We haven't had a chance to fish for them yet, so other than the occasional walleye caught, won't really know until we get to fish on Saturday. Personally I am going to fish normal early spring spots until they prove me wrong and go to the early weed pattern if my typical first spots don't pan out real well. Just need to be prepared to find them a bit more advanced... crawlers might even fine a place in my boat early...
