The lake temperatures are still staying cold - warm bays popping into the 40's on sunny days, dropping into upper 30's as soon as they get the chance to mix the main lake waters or a cold day.

Lake Trout - Jigging working well enough, but not jumping in the boat yet. Down rigging the deep was ok this past weekend. Trolling on Kakagi (Crow) Lake finally looking better today - couple limits came in with fish ranging 7-9 pounds. Trolling Northerns on Whitefish Bay also produced a dandy 32" Lake Trout. Hoping to e-mail pictures to Jean tonight for posting on Facebook.

Northern Pike - Late last week Stevens Bay had nothing moving. Whitefish Bay bite came on strong during a warm afternoon... highlighted with a 36" and several in the slot.

The next few weeks should have an improving bite, 'cause them fish will get hungry!

The coming 2 weeks look good for cabin availability after that cabins will be tight for a while. 4 cabins open/available this weekend and expect to have 8 cabins open/available the following.

Regards,

Kevin Nelson
