The fishing has picked up in the past few days, we are starting to see more and more fish coming up into the shallow water chasing minnow and crayfish.
I have been fishing on the points and humps in 20 to 28 feet of water in the mornings and moving up shallower with crankbaits in the afternoon.
In the deeper water I have been using 1\8 and 1\4 oz. jigs tipped with minnows or leeches. I have been using Wally Minnows, Shad Raps, and Tail Dancers to cast into the shallows for the walleyes and bass. We have also been finding some nice northerns in the rocks along the shore lines. The water temp was up to 63 in the main lake yesterday but after a breezy evening and cloudy day today it has fallen to 58 by supper time tonight. The additional wind today seemed to make the bite more aggressive today.
