Water temp 2 ft below the surface is 59 degree's.

Starting to see more activity in the shallows. Bluegills are in the shallows and staying longer due to the warming water temps. Afternoon hours are best. Leaf worms or waxies for bait below a small bobber. We seen these gills in very shallow water less then 16 inches.

Crappies are still in the stumps and some very nice catches this week. Nice size Crappies in the 11 to 12 inch size with a few over 13 inches. Small minnows and jigs or jigs with wedgie tails working very well.

Walleye's, early morning or just before sunset have been the best times to fish. Some big fish caught this week. Rapala's are hot! Shad Raps fished in the shallows. Work the sand and gravel bars. Afternoon hours work the deeper water off of these bars and use #5 Rapala Rattlin Raps. Anglers are catching fish below the area dams but most are the small males, action is fast just the size is not there.

Pike action is good, Large minnow slowing moving minnow baits or large blade spinnerbaits. Fish in the bays with weed growth.

Good Luck
Dave
