Surface water temperatures are bouncing around the lower forties, thinking maybe by next weekend we will start seeing occaional 50 degree water temperates.
Only a couple guests in so far, but they are starting to arrive.
Lake Trout are starting to bite and give chase much more this weekend. Trolling guys are catching a few. I was jigging 80-90 foot waters Saturday at about 5:30 PM - the first half hour had 5 Lake Trout hit, afterwards they would chase, but no bites. Often watching 2-3 Lake Trout chasing the lure on the graph. I'm just starting to find balls of suspended bait fish, but most fish are still sitting pretty tight to the bottom.
