Hi everyone,

Fished a small deep clear lake today. It happens to be my buddy Jigboy's favorite lake. With the barometer sky high, a partly cloudy sky and a little snow blowing around in a mild North wind, we had a good time catching a mixed bag of fish. Jerry joined us out on the ice and the three of us hauled up lots of Blugills,Perch, a Northern and Jigboy caught a nice quality 22" Walleye which was released after a quick photo.

Most of the Blugills and all the Perch were to small to keep. But it is a lot of fun to see the fish as active as they were. When they show up on the vex and do what they are supposed to do by coming up and sucking in the waxxies on the small jigs we were offering. We were fishing 24 feet deep and had fun fighting the fish up from the deep water. Jigboy caught the Walleye on a board with a sucker minnow. We had a total of three flags, but only caught the one.

Temperature started to drop rapidly, so we called it a night early. Forecast is for below zero tonight. Lots of snow on the ice now.Travel is tough for any kind of wheeled vehicle, but excellent for snowmobiles. Take care out there.
