Hi everyone,

Got out this afternoon on the Big Chip. Tried some new spots and found some Walleyes. They bit for a 20 minute window, than disappeared. There was an east wind blowing rather moderate. But that died, and so did the bite. But the three Walleyes were all around 16". I released them all to catch another day.

I spent a lot of time learning new spots and relearning old spots that I haven't fished in years. I caught some Bass to go along with the Walleyes, but the action was rather slow. The Walleyes were fat and sassy. They have been eating good.

The water temps are still rather warm. 60-62 degrees. Still see some bug hatches going on, but not nearly as much as last week. Still seeing clouds of bait fish on the locater. The fall pattern is still a ways off. I didn't see to many trees turning color yet, but they should start in about a week. The air temps are cool. As I write this , there is a nice cool breeze coming in the window.

I'll be heading out again tomorrow. Will report results tomorrow night.
