while we are still working on projects and don't officially open till may 22 and really aren't full till may 29 we've been out doing a little fishing and checkin things out as well some local reports show walleyes on eagle are in bays and flats in new emerging weed growth at 4-12'as well as on points,shoreline connected bars,hunps in transistion areas from spawning areas at 16-22' biting very good both numbers of eater and slot fish and over,much like mid june fishing under normal years and as predicted. danny was out on eagle yesterday evening for 2 hrs and pounded on em' pretty good,lots of nice fish 16-20" and a good number of 22-26" slot and over,mostly just fished the deeper patterns but fishd one bay and did just as good so fish are using both consistantly. considering the sunny relativley flat weather it was very,very good.
jigs and minnows/plastics as well as spinner rigs and pulling /casting cranks especially on the flats.
some big prespawn bass caught fishing walleyes but not moved up into spawning areas yet,very soon as water temps are in the mid 50's and will rise rapidly this week and next with avg daytime temps high 70's-low 80's.
update;
as of today 5/19 we have seen a few shallow and watched a male by the docks starting a bed so it will happen fast with water temps rising quickly now.

we got some scattered availablity in early to mid june yet as well as first 2 weeks of july and a couple last 2 weeks of july/first 2 weeks of aug.
call for any other dates that might work for you as some could become available as we've had some guests making dates switches lately.

Hey Herbie,

Thanks for the update. Given the current water temps and future warm weather, when will the muskies start spawning and also when will they finish? I am keeping my fingers crossed that they are done spawning and moving back shallow by musky opener.

they should start soon as water temps in backs of shallower bays are 60's and main lake mid 50's as of yesterday with extended temps here in the 70-80's. should be good to go.
