Hi everyone,

Here's Jenks latest fishing report for the Chippewa Flowage. Jenks bait shop is located on highway "B" by the intersection of "CC".

Jenks Fishing Report - Wednesday, May 12, 2010
================================================== ==========

Walleye:
Walleye continue to be caught primarily in deep water on minnows with leechs still second best. The water is still a little chilly for crawlers.

Northern:
I'm hearing about more northern action in the shallow weedy areas. And while this is normally more of a live bait time of year they seem to also be hitting spinners and spinnerbaits.

Crappie:
Crappie are still hanging in the deeper weeds during the day but moving in shallower in the afternoon as the water warms.

Panfish:
Not much to report on the bluegill--try waxies in the weeds.

Weather report

It sounds like we may finally have a nice weekend coming up. They're actually calling for dry weather in the upper 60's.

Water level

The rain we're getting must be soaking into the ground because lake still isn't coming up. It's still two feet down.

Water temperature

The cold and snow dropped the temp back into the mid 50's but it should come back up this weekend. It's amazing what a little sun will do.

Good luck fishing everyone.

Walleyemaxx.
