I'm trying to catch some small chubs on hook and line for walleye bait. All the streams around New Glarus are coldwater (great trout fishing of course!) so I never run into chubbies. Does anyone know of some good old muddy warm streams that might have some chubs?

yes i do . BUT -- you had better read your regulation book . Its illegal for you to move live bait , VHS . Depends if you plan on curing them ? Just a heads up
as Mr. warden reads these .Some of the good chub holes are in trout streams
and here comes the regs. again. I dont mean to bash you as i would like to do the same, merely trying to help and save you a fine .

hey thanks tracker- I was wondering about that- I guess if I bought them at a bait shop that somehow ensures they don't have VHS??
