I still haven't been out myself been pretty busy at the resort, but have been hearing that the perch fishing has been really slow for most people but I have heard of A couple guys that are finding them.
The walleye fishing has picked up a little with the best luck coming in the evenings. We had some customers this past week-end changed their target from perch to walleye and did ok setting up for the walleyes a few hours before sunset and fishing for a couple hours after dark, Jigging and Tip-ups with sucker minnows.
Things will start to pick up with the perch fishing over the next few weeks.
Remember when you are catching these big perch in deep water take your time bringing them up so the don't blow their air bag. It's not a bad thing to keep a few of these huge perch if you want to get one mounted but if we do a select harvest we will have these huge perch to fish in the future.
