Ice conditions as a whole are continuing to improve. Lake Mendota has ice depths from 5"-8" with reports of a few questionable areas to the west of Governor's Island and off of Picnic Point. Perch fisherman have been having mixed results with some nice fish and some small. The best areas seem to be between Fox Bluff, Commodore Bar and Second Point. Walleye fisherman have been having success off of Second Point and Burely Street Bar. Pike fisherman continue to see action with fish from 24"-38", with the occasional catch over 40". Some areas to search include Warner Bay, Maple Bluff, Governor's Island, North Shore and in front of James Madison Park as well as out from the Hatch Cover and out from Spring Harbor on the west side.

Monona Bay pan fisherman have found moderate success with bluegills. Tip-up users have had luck with Northern Pike. Check for action from both in Squaw Bay. The perch bite has been spotty, with most success coming from Law Park and in front of the Yahara River.

Lake Waubesa pan fisherman continue to find the most action down by Christie's and Goodland Park. Most of the perch reports have come from the Bible Camp and seem to consist mostly of small fish.

Crystal Lake blue gills have been active with most catches being in the 7"-8" range. Bass fisherman have had success with medium shiners.
