One of my ice fishing guides reported a nice catch Saturday afternoon of a bunch of walleyes 18 to 20 inches. They kept a small meal and released the rest. One thing that was interesting was the fact that every walleye they caught had a good size bluegill in it's stomach and was fat. They were using large shiners on tip-ups and fishing in shallow water. They didn't say how deep.
The northerns continue to give action during the day with Butternut Lake giving up some nice ones.
These extremely cold nights are helping tighten up the slush, but we need them to continue for awhile to get us where we need to be.
