Extreme cold closed the Eagle River Chain for what looks to be for good. The temperature was 7 degrees this morning on my way to Guides Choice Pro Shop. The weather man is calling for the temperatures to stay below 32 degrees all week. Additionally Wednesday, Thurs, Friday and Saturday look to be very cold with the highs in the teens and in the single digits down to zero at night.

So it looks like the ice is here to stay,,,,, and here comes ice fishing season!
The "hot" shallow water walleye/northern bite should be happening the next few weeks.
