Hi Everyone

Fall is almost here. With this cool weather we have had lately it feels like October now. With these cool nights we have had it has brought the water temp down to 76. All summer long the water temp has not been real hot. This is 11th coldest summer from what the news said.

Fish are still shallow in the coves right now. Moving 3 or 4 in the morning and 3 or 4 in evening with a shot at catching 1 or 2 of them. Have not seen any big fish mid to upper 30's. Last year September was awesome and with this cool weather it looks like it will be great again. It's actually cooler this year at this time than last year was. The bait choices right now are pretty much the same as the summer has been 1 oz Meat and Potatoe Spinnerbaits, Cowgirls, Showgirls seem to be the ticket. Color doesn't matter right now at all.

The weed growth right now is really good. It's like every other year weeds in some places and not in others but the places that have weeds are great. In the next 2 weeks fish will be roaming the weed edges on the flats. With that said Bull Dawgs are right around the cornor. I really think that this will be one of the best fall seasons for Cave Run in while.

Bass are not going to good right now. Some customers said they have caught a few on crankbaits in 10-15 feet of water. Just about everything has been under 16 inches from what they have found.

Crappie guys are catching right now. We have sold several dozen minnows in the last 2 weeks. For the most part they are catching pretty good crappie. Just about every customer said the same depth 10-12 feet.

We will have new baits and things coming in weekly so make sure you stop in. IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR SO GET THOSE HOOKS SHARPE. Good luck and look forward to seeing everyone this fall.

Also don't forget about our Fall Package we have for 1 or 2 people. It's a great deal for a great time of year. So make sure you check that out on the website or call us here at the shop.
