Musky fishing is good on Spooner / Hayward area lakes, topwaters, bucktails, jerkbaits and minnowbaits are all taking fish right now. The lakes I've been fishing have had a good bucktail bite going during the day and a topwater bite towards evening. Last night we had a nice fish wake up behind a Hawg Wobbler all the way to the boat before deciding to bolt the other direction. We had two other hits and misses from fish that may or may not have been muskies also. I'll be out again late today.
