Muskie are locating in 15 feet of water or less in and around the weeds, in
the Eagle River area. Bucktails, topwaters, and crankbaits are all working.
Early mornings and late evenings providing the best bite, with a mix of
sizes including some trophies.

The walleye bite has improved and is very good at times, in the Eagle River
area. Fish either 15 feet of water or less, outside of weeds edges, or try
main lake basins with mud flats in 20 to 30 feet of water. Use a jig tipped
with a crawler, leech or minnow. Best action coming from late afternoon
into evening.

Northern continue to put on a very good to excellent bite in the Eagle River
area. Fish ten feet of water or less in and around weeds. Use a spinner
bait, Husky Jerk in a minnow or walleye pattern, or a northern sucker minnow
or chub under a slip bobber.

Crappies, bluegills and perch in the Eagle River area are still hanging
together in 15 feet of water or less, in and around weeds. The perch are
holding close to the bottom, while the crappies and gills are suspending in
the weeds. Use a chunk of crawler or crappie minnow under a slip bobber, or
try a Beetle Spin or Mini Mite. Action is good excellent, albeit with the
usual sorting.

Largemouth bass in the Eagle River area are locating in 10 feet of water or
less in and around weeds, holding near structure like docks and fallen
trees. Use a Texas rig with a plastic worm, or a topwater such as a plastic
frog, rat or lizard. Action is good.

Good Luck to all.
