Northern are biting aggressively in the Eagle River area. Fish 10 feet of
water or less in the weeds. Use a Husky Jerk in a minnow or perch pattern,
spinner bait or spoon. Mixed bag on sizes.

Smallies in the Eagle River area are hanging off break edges in 5 to 15 feet
of water. Look for baseball size rocks. Use a three or four inch plastic
tube, a Senko rigged whacky, or a jig with a leech or half a crawler.
Action is good to excellent.

Largemouth are locating in the weeds in the Eagle River area, and holding
tight to structure, like docks and downed trees. Use a Senko rigged whacky,
a Texas rig with a plastic worm or lizard, or a topwater like a Scum Frog or
Bass Rat. Good to excellent action.

Panfish (crappies, bluegills and perch) are hanging together, and providing
good to excellent action in the Eagle River area. Fish 15 feet of water in
and around the weeds. The perch will hug the bottom, with the crappies and
gills suspending higher up on the water column. Use a slip bobber rig with
a crawler or crappie minnow. Mixed bag on sizes.
Muskie action is very good in the Eagle River area.. Fish 5 to 8 feet of
water over weeds. Good action on bucktails, small to mid sized crank or jerk
baits, and a surface bait around dark. Some real trophies are being taken
including a 51 incher taken on a Mepps Musky Marabou.

Walleye action in the Eagle River area remains fair to good. Fish 15 feet of
water or less outside the weed edges. Use a jig and a minnow, leech or
crawler. Best bite is early morning or afternoon into evening.
