I haven't posted a fishing report for a while, been too busy I guess!
The weather around here has been a little nutty. A cool spring gave way to a real heat wave come mid June. Hot and muggy, day and night. That lasted up until this past Sunday when it got windy and much cooler, daytime highs in the upper 50's to low 60's and overnight temps plunging into the upper 40's. Not exactly what you would expect late June and early July weather to be like! The forecast is for more normal warmer temps late this week, near 80 degrees.

The fishing has kinda been off kiltter the last ten days or so.
Walleyes have been tough lots of days, fewer bites along the deep weedline then usual. The big wind of the past few days didn't make life easy for walleye fishing. On some lakes we've been doing better up on weed flats and not on the edges.

Bass fishing remains strong. Lots of nice largemouths have made it into the boat recently. Jigs, spinnerbaits and rapala's all are catching fish. Spooner area lakes are hot for bass right now!

Musky fishing trips for us lately have been involving more seen followers than hooking up. Minnow baits are slightly more productive but jerk baits and bucktails are working as well. Good numbers of fish in the weeds now. Evening fishing has shown promise.

That's it for now, Have a safe and happy Fourth of July Weekend!
